(1) No Trading Allowed - Storage Guy is useless
Yep, you are not allowed to trade any of your items or even put even crappy items in your Storage Bank. Every item one character gets is exclusive to them. This means that, while weapons that are not focused on your character are worthless except for selling at NPC vendors - no trade means that you cannot trade to other players for mesos so Free Market is forever closed in REBOOT, the only way you can get rid of items is selling them for the normal crap price at NPC vendors - you don't have to worry about farming Cubic Blades unless you are making your own Cubes, you can just toss them in the trash as they are completely worthless; you're better off selling non-usable gear and since every Meso pickup is 5x due to the Reboot ability, you're better off collecting Meso pickups or doing events instead of selling gear, which reduces time spent in the Free Market and dumping stuff you might want your other character to use; sorry, My Main, but you're gonna have to farm for your own Tyrant Gear, I am not buying any for ya! :p
(2) Spell Traces are useless
The only way you'll upgrade gear is through the Star Force system; scrolls and spell traces cannot be used to upgrade gear. This cuts out a LOT of the crap that regular servers have to go through - No Boom scrolls which may be hacked, Free Market camping, trading Master Cubes for weapon scrolls, etc. - and just focuses on raw power. The only Boom you'll get is from a very rare failure when trying to Star Force your weapon to 15 Stars. The only useful scrolls are Potential Scrolls.
Spell Traces become the Gold Nuggets in this game - each one sells for 5000 mesos a pop, which means your lower-level characters will be mesomillionaires overnight! ^_^ A great way to fund your Star Force enhancements. You have to be Level 20 to upgrade your gear, but it's just awesome!
(3) Transfer Hammer icon
Saves a lot of money by allowing you to transfer all the Star Force Enhancements from an old gear to a new one, and can sometimes transfer potentials too, meaning that if you loved a Potential on your old gear, it's on your new gear! You have to be Level 40 to use it but it's great.
(4) Meso Items in Cash Shop
In Wizard101, the Crown Shop had items you could buy with gold instead of Crowns. In this server, many of the useful items are now buyable with mesos instead of NX, which means if you are min-maxxing your character, you can do it much easier than you could in the normal servers.
So if you want to play MapleStory but not have to spend a lot of NX, play the Reboot server today!
