Well, I am finally back after six days of being at my parents house with four dogs - two who are desperately in need of obedience training. (No offense if my sister is reading this... <_>)
I did not touch my Pink Bean at all during that time due to the fact that my parents' computer is, as SmartBored would say, "a toaster for a computer." It runs the game fine... but if I try to do my normal routine - watching Youtube while playing - both applications lag and freeze. Well, Maplestory STILL freezes from time to time on that thing so as soon as my parents let me know they were coming home - I didn't realize it was Sunday until they told me - I uninstalled Maplestory on that piece of junk. (Again no offense. Dad told me he never uses it for gaming.)
HOWEVER: I did make progress - please make note of my main's level. Yes, he's at final job and got to Level 100 after two levels gained from winning against Normal Zakum the second time during the last 2x event, which extended by an hour because Maple was down all day on Wednesday due to a scheduled maitenance that got extended four times due to a stupid bug that prevented the Cube Quest from being completed. :(
Unfortunately, the flash drive I had stored all those nice pics I made is still at my 'rents' so I will have to wait until I pick up my snack foods and sodas after I get back from holy mass. (I STILL cannot believe it's Sunday.)
Also, because of my time displacement, I discovered to my horror that it's August 30. Luckily, there is still Monday as August 31, but come Tuesday, which is Labor Day(when I get paid for all that house sitting, they told me), all the following events will end:
- FIREPOWER (so I need to get cracking on getting more cupcakes for my Pink Bean because the Suitcases will self-destruct then.
- The Event Book (which is why CJKeyblade is in Elwin's house - he will have to bumrush four chapters of Friendship in one go and I wanted him to call Orchid every night in Seoul to get that sweet pillow fight chair. I may give it to another character, though - he has three chairs; also, I need to work on all chapters of Black Heaven and the last chapter of the Grand Atheneum as well.)
Yep, I am SORELY behind on events - I know I can't even bother with Star Planet(I am lazy and now that the update 1.65 patch has made all single-player games not eligible for Star Points, it's going to be one heck of a grind to get to Junior Star, and I don't like mini-games) or Cross Party Quest(as no sane Mapler who camps out in the Guest House is saying J> CPQ or something), and sadly all the guilds I have joined are lacking in contribution points to finish the Guild part.
So I have to bum zerg through several side-stories to get those things, and I really want to get CJKeyblade that 7-day second pendant slot, if only so I can equip something else besides that Greed Pendant he won in Monster Park Extreme. ^_^
(Sadly, he had to buy a Big Spider familiar in FM because the Big Spiders in Verne Mine were not being kind to him. Due to my time displacement I didn't bother going back to Verne mine and farming the spiders during the 2x event so poor CJKeyblade had to blow 7.5 million from a scammer to get the card, but that familiar is vital when he starts bossing seriously.)
And yes, that's my Zero in Mu Long Dojo - Gem1n1meg DID manage to complete their entire story arc within three days thanks to the 2x Quest coupon I bought for them and I got a Fusion Anvil, but it cost me some reward points because I forgot those suckers go for 2700 NX and not 2000.
(And my poor Zero tried to do Mu Long Dojo twice and failed to finish both times - first time Ye Ancient Computer DC'd, the second time my charges were ripping my flesh out with their claws and fangs because they NEEDED TO BE FED ASAP. I am going to cry when I have to babysit them for TEN DAYS next month... ;_;)
But now I have a character over Level 150... and it looks like Gem1n1meg will have to complete Blach Heaven because I want to get the Hundred and Then Some quest done and they are the only ones who are over Level 150 so they need to complete the whole Black Heaven arc to get that. I have gone through half of the story with a Mercedes on another world but got bored.
Anyways, here is my plans for progression:
Tonight I am going to do the final Grand Atheneum story to get that done as well as Black Heaven Chapters 1-3 (aka Quicktime Even Abyss) with my Zero or until I get too tired and fall asleep; I want to try to take advantage of the 2x event this morning but if I have to skip it, I will - I need the sleep so I can go to holy mass.
Around church time, or after I get back from church, I'll try to have CJ bum rush through the rest of Friendstory(up to Chapter 6) to get that final Friendstory event quest done as well as complete the two Evolution System quests, which will take some time. I will probably have to just do the second because you have to do the quests six times and I don't think you can repeat a link quest without exiting the system and you only get three runs a day, so that'll be tricky. I'll squeeze in the rest of Black Heaven(interesting to see how this plays out with the Child of Time) before the evening.
All in all, this past week has been havoc on my characters in Scania... and thus I won't be able to update with my other groups until after the next set of events takes place and FIREPOWER is gone. I'll let you know how things go on Labor Day, cheers and happy Mapling! ;)
