NOTE: These characters are not being trained for link skills, they are just some of my favorite characters. In this server, I wanted to have two groups of Maplers - one Explorer, one Cygnus Knight and one Resistance Member. The last two are dedicated to charaters I like and which will give a character card class set - a trio of Magician characters and a trio of Thieves. The first post of these characters will be about them reaching 2nd Job advancement(Level 30), the second will be about them hitting 3rd job(Level 60) and the future updates will go with final job(Level 100) and finally getting them to high levels(Level 150 at least so they can equip Fafnir gear).
NOTE 2: All of these characters will be mob grinding for levels - questing will be at a minimum and no quests will be taken unless it's a story quest or will allow me to collect monster cards for the Crusader Codex - I love hunting down Crusader Codex cards. ^_^
I gave a lot of love to the Explorer niche and my first was a native Explorer, not the set of spin-off Explorers, but the original Explorer class which appears on Maple Island. I mean, without these guys, M.S. wouldn't have survived! Come on!
Meet my first funded character, CJSergoit. (CJ is my nickname and is an portmonteau of my first and middle initals. Sergoit was random as there was already a CJ player.) His life's destiny is to become a Ice-Lightning Archmage. I know that Holy Symbol would be ideal for a solo player as it boosts EXP gain, but as I said, I don't intend to boost EXP - just have fun playing. Against 2nd Curbrock this guy had a struggle but won with Thunder Bolt. (Thankfully he had plenty of cupcakes from the summer event drops, but he died twice - once to Mano in the ship[because I forgot bosses in timed areas respawn and I was busy copy-pasting a pic to Paint] and again against the regular Mushmom due to this weak weak level. Still, he got revenge.)
I don't want to do Fire-Poison as I have a Blaze Wizard in Gallacia already, and Bishop has a weak range of attacks to do any damage, so they are't great mobbers or bossers.
Also, CJSerg became a multi-millionaire because of pure serependity. He got a Cubic Blade from an elite monster and long before that, he stumbled upon a Demon Slayer doing a deathblow to an Elite Boss and participated in the bonus stage, which spawns two mimic chests near our hero. Seven whacks later he got all three rare chests... ALL OF THEM WERE CLEAN SLATE SCROLLS! He didn't get a great deal in Free Market(the buyer wouldn't give more than 38 million a pop) but he still made over 110 million in the deal. If only my Evan was so lucky... :(
(To be honest, CJSerg discovered that the Demon Slayer was camping out in North Rocky Road in Perion area and mobbing the Dark Axe Stumps to summon Elite Bosses there. I admit that this place is easy for a Demon Slayer to summon Elite Bosses, but couldn't he have gone to Gold Beach?! We were going to exploit his bonus stage but it was lucky as now I don't have to scrape and save for a while and I can get a ton of Spell Traces for later.)
CJSerg spent most of the money on a better avatar hat than the stupid duck hat Tot gave him(he was wearing it to hide his ugly Marbas mask he was forced to wear to boost his defenses) and a Fafnir Mana Taker which will be his ultimate weapon once he hits the level for it. (He'll need to Red Cube it though as the Potential sucks.)
