Of all the Maple Heroes, Aran was the one I saved for last as I heard she was the worst of the heroes, due to her relying on a combo system to do any damage. But I decided it was time to break out of that shell and try her out once. ;)
Turns out she's great if you HATE using skills in your key slots - you can assign Aran skills but it won't do jack because all her skills are triggered by mashing Ctrl to attack - and with a polearm for a weapon, she can hit enemies from a distance, meaning - combined with her flash jump - she takes a lot less damage and saves pots.She beat Blue Mushmom at LEVEL 19! Yes, she didn't get a gear upgrade yet and managed to take out the Blue Mushmom! ^_^
I find this hilarious - Teo sends you to go fetch snail shells, you expect to grind on snails, and then you do this other quest and John GIVES YOU THE SHELLS YOU NEED! XD
And yes, I did the story quests with Aran because I think story quests are ignored mostly in Maple because Maplers just wnat to max level ASAP but I rant about it elsewhere, so forget it. :p
And this is actually my second richest character - walked in JUST as a Bonus Stage was starting at Golem Temple entrance and Rainbow nabs an Accelerator and TWO CLEAN SLATE SCROLLS!!! She gets a bad deal(only 27.5 million for each, but I let the guy bargain for it because he needs the scrolls) and now my Aran has two pieces of her Root Abyss set already AND an Aquatic Eye for Level 100, WOOOO!!!! :D
Rainbow managed to get to Level 30 by doing story quests and little grinding, and finally got re-acquainted with Maha, the spirit of her ancient polearm, gaining more button-mashing skills. :)
