El Nido Character #1 - AroraChan the Paladin

In memory of Arora, the female dwarf paladin which was a big character on the D&D Thursday Knights stream. May she rest in the bosom of the gods for sacrificing her life to keep the Shard of Absolute Evil from destroying Faerun... ;)

Before I got into MMOs in general, one of my favorite podcasts was Thursday Knights. I even registered from their community forum. D&D is an amazing teamwork role-playing game and that was why I love RPGs in general, any RPGs - for the story. Which is why it's so hard to get into the mentality of 99% of the Maplers, who just grind to Level 250 and fund themselves with NX.(Mainly because I am too poor to have NX. :( ) These people are missing the big picture - the stories of these characters they play. If ZeroByDivide had gone through the story of his main, his Luminous, he might have seen a deep character struggling with darkness and light. Oh well, I can't tell people how to play, but anyways...

Another Explorer, this time I plan to go down the warrior route. Warrior Explorers are a rare breed due to the popularity of Nightlords and Bishops. Bowmen and Warriors have very little going for them, which is why I wanted to give some love to a Paladin. (Not like that, sicko! :p)

Arora met another girl Beginner on her way to Southperry, who was planning on becoming a Pirate class. She mistook Mechanics as being Explorers. She also asked to team up with Arora, but sadly Arora had to decline. (Mainly because I was due to leave for exercise in half an hour and didn't want to abandon the poor girl by logging off halfway through.)

Unlike CJSergoit, she did help the people of Henesys after gaining her first job, mainly because her D&D counterpart was a kind soul who always stopped to help people - and the EXP didn't hurt. ;) She also got some nice Level 20 gear with potential from the Horny Mushrooms. (snickers)

Soon, she got to her second job (she had to grind the last level as she ran out of quests) and choose the path of the Page after collecting the 30 Dark Marbles from Skulldogs, which took hours. But now she can unleash the power of the elements! (We need to get her a hammer.)
