El Nido Character #7 - CJShad3 the Shade

I have played a few Shades, and I find the back story - being a forgotten Maple Hero whose existence was erased from Maple World as a sacrifice to seal the Black Mage - to be very tragic. I almost cried when I read the text saying "It's too cruel" after he found out that everyone he knew forgot about him.

Not to mention that Shades are second awesome in mobbing potential. ^_^

 

Elite Monster and Elite Bosses CAN spawn in Vulpes, so BE CAREFUL!!!

Of course, you have to go through a looooooong storyline quest chain to be able to even grind normally, which is why most Maplers hate this class.. ToyDualer and his fellow YouTubers panned Shade for this reason, but I think Nexon wanted people to read the dialogue more and not just skip it. Call me sentimental, but dang it, I'm fresh from Wizard101, and battle grinding is impossible there, so everyone gets the quests and enjoys the story. :p

 

This part is short as I easily sped through the whole Vulpes storyline and got to Level 30 right away. You get to Level 30 immediately when you use the scroll to return to Pantheon but can't get 2nd Job until you use the portal in Grandis to teleport to Henesys and click on yourself to trigger an inner monologue. I just do skill builds by working on passives first since the attacks will be obsolete on the next job advancement.
